Getting Started

1.1 Importing SEV and HIE Data

  1. Click "Import Data" in the sidebar or dashboard
  2. Select your SEV CSV file
  3. Select your HIE CSV file
  4. Wait for the import to complete

Required CSV Format

SEV CSV columns: TT Creation Date (A), FC (E), FC Type (F), Work Order (I), Equipment desc (U), Failure Description (AG), Cause Description (AI), DTH (AU), LPH (AV), Rolled Volume (AW)

HIE CSV: Event ID in Column J (must match SEV Work Order numbers)

Understanding Key Metrics

LPH (Lost Production Hours) - PRIMARY METRIC

The number of lost production hours caused by an event. This directly correlates to cost - associates standing around not producing. Higher LPH = more money spent.

Rolled Volume

The volume of work lost due to the issue. Use this when comparing tickets with similar LPH.

DTH (Downtime Hours)

How long the equipment was actually down. Note: 1 DTH can cause 100 LPH if many associates are affected.

Ticket Count

The number of high severity tickets. Sites with high ticket counts may need additional support or equipment improvements.

Data Analysis

HIE Deep Dive vs SEV Deep Dive

  • HIE Deep Dive: View data for tickets that matched HIE Event IDs (high impact events)
  • SEV Deep Dive: View all SEV tickets regardless of HIE status

Departments

  • AE (Automation Engineering): Tickets related to automation systems
  • MHE (Material Handling Equipment): Tickets related to material handling equipment

Analysis Tabs

  • Overview: Key metrics and top offenders summary
  • Site Analysis: LPH and tickets by site
  • Equipment Analysis: Issues by equipment type
  • Failure Analysis: Common failure types
  • FC Type Analysis: Issues by building type
  • Cause Analysis: Root cause breakdown

Using Filters

Available Filters

  • Site Filter: Filter by specific site code
  • FC Type Filter: Filter by building type
  • Equipment Filter: Filter by equipment description
  • Text Search: Search across all descriptions
  • Date Range: Filter historical data by date range

Filters apply to all tabs. Use "Clear All" to reset filters.

Keyboard Shortcuts

  • g d - Go to Dashboard
  • g i - Go to Import
  • g h - Go to Help
  • g e - Go to Edit Data

Best Practices

Regular Data Import

  • Import data weekly to maintain accurate trends
  • Review Current Week data immediately after import
  • Compare to historical averages to spot anomalies

Analysis Workflow

  1. Start with Overview tab for high-level view
  2. Review Top Offenders Summary for immediate concerns
  3. Drill down into specific tabs (Site, Equipment, Failure)
  4. Check Historical Data for trends and patterns
  5. Export PDF reports for documentation
